Pilots Pal with Mac

Postby telstar on Tue Dec 26, 2006 9:40 am

Hi, About to make the jump to a Mac (That's another days topic!) for various reasons. PP is genuinely the only piece of software I can think of that is not Mac that I really need, everything else has an equivalent.

I am just looking for some advice about how to setup PP on the Mac from anyone who runs it. My iMac has the ability to boot up in windows but I think that will be cumbersome, I am more interested to hear from people who might use the various emulator softwares available. I am presuming that windows access has to be installed first to make the PP software work? Is it unbearably slow to use like this? Cheers!

Pilots Pal on a mac

Hi, I too would like ppal on a mac. I have both windows and mac machines at home. I also have an intel macbook pro that runs windows through bootcamp. windows works fine but you do have to reboot the mac to get into windows, so not ideal. I havent tried installing pPal on the mac yet.

Hi Guys

We looked at writing Pilots Pal for the Mac, as you know, the software uses MS Access 2003 which will only run using Virtual PC or with Intel based Macs, so for the moment there isnt any other way round this.

For future reference for Mac users, Parallels Works very well for me. Bootcamp works well too but it is too inconvenient to reboot each time you want to use Pilotspal.
